Health
As Burkina Faso is a poor country, its people suffer from the afflictions of poverty. In the rainy season, the mosquito population increases dramatically. In this country, more than 45% of children dying before the age of 5 die of malaria. Yellow fever, meningitis, HIV/AIDS and many others also cause problems.
All this being said, the greatest health problems faced by the population are those directly related to poverty: malnutrition and thirst.
